"I am a multi-passionate artist working as a director, photographer, screenwriter, sound designer, producer, and composer.
I was born in Al-Hassake, Syria, and grew up in the country. In 2007, after finishing high school, I moved to Damascus to pursue my passion for music. Although I was interested in film, it was not readily available or affordable in Syria. As a result, I taught myself the necessary skills.
In 2013, I moved to Sweden as a refugee and learned Swedish to be able to follow my dreams more easily. At the age of 27, I directed my first documentary, which explored the challenges of learning a new language as a refugee at school.
In 2017, I enrolled in a film school on Öland, where I worked on a biography-poetry documentary for my final project.
My experiences growing up in Syria and Sweden and my passion for storytelling have shaped my unique perspective, inspiring me to create art that cares about humanity, climate, and culture.
Today, I work as a freelance artist in Småland and live in a small village outside Jönköping."
